TATTERSALLS IRELAND/WARD UNION HUNT SHOW

The 2009 Tattersall’s Ireland/Ward Union Hunt Show is a definite date for all equestrian followers. The show which boasts a full line-up of showing and show jumping classes, takes place on Friday 24th, Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th July. The sixth leg of the Pony Premier Series saw the action moving to Coilog Equestrian Centre where the standard of jumping continued to improve heading into the penultimate leg at Mullingar. FLOODY LARKS AROUND IN RAVENSDALE


John Floody stole the limelight in the inaugural Ravensdale Lodge Grand Prix with a victory aboard Mick Smith’s Larkhill Cruiser.  On form after a two week break Floody finished his day in style when first to go in the €1,200 1.30m(S) class he set a time that remained unrivalled in the eight way decider. BRASH VICTORY FOR VISITING SCOT

Scott Brash made his visit to the CSI2* fixture at Mullingar well worth his while when scoring a win for Great Britain on Bon Ami in the Mullingar Equestrian and Showjumping Ireland sponsored Premier Grand Prix. In soaring temperatures the crowds of spectators were kept on the edge of their seats when a two way decider saw Brash pitted against ten times National Grand Prix Champion Francis Connors for the lion’s share of the €20,000 on offer.
